We’re Listening

Posted on April 8, 2016 by

This partial hand client is active at work and her remaining index finger is vital to her daily activities. Based on aesthetics alone, we would choose to encapsulate the finger into a solid glove to avoid extra seams. When interviewing her about her needs and expectations, we determined that a separate finger prosthesis would be a better answer for her.

Details like this are one reason we invite our clients’ close family members to attend appointments from early on in the process. There are many decisions like the one described above that occur in each case. When family is present, they can be a support system when decisions are made along the way.
