Passive is Still Active!

Posted on November 2, 2015 by

A common question we get about our upper extremity prosthetics is, “Do the fingers move?” While we do create covers for myo-electric prosthetic hands, many people actually prefer a “passive” realistic prosthetic that remains in a compliant, natural position. When a client has a sound hand, they will use it to grasp smaller items. They need a prosthesis to restore length and serve as a lightweight opposing limb and a stabilizer when carrying larger items. You can follow this link to view the testimonial of another client who finds his passive prosthesis very functional. https://www.aestheticprosthetics.com/testimonial-view/ted/
